Introducing the Bendix Ultimate 4WD brake booster upgrade, an essential addition for 4WDs towing or carrying heavy loads. With this easy-to-fit upgrade, braking performance is increased by up to 30%. The Bendix Ultimate 4WD brake booster uses dual-diaphragm technology and is ADR compliant. The upgrade has been designed to be a direct 'bolt-in' replacement for original equipment (OE), single-diaphragm brake boosters.
4WD vehicles fitted with added mass and larger-diameter tyres require higher brake pedal pressure for effective braking. Brake pedal pressure required and braking effectiveness (including improved stopping distances) can be achieved by fitting a dual-diaphragm booster.
Instead of amplifying the vacuum available to the booster or increasing the diameter of the booster within the confines of the engine bay surroundings, Bendix has instead effectively doubled the surface area with a second diaphragm of the same diameter.
